Dropouts/disconnectsUpdated 10 hours ago

If you experience audio dropouts or Bluetooth disconnections while using your Sleepbuds, try the following troubleshooting steps. We recommend working through each suggestion in order, as many connection issues can be resolved by the first few steps.

  1. Make sure your Sleepbuds and Smart Case remain within 10 feet (3 meters) of each other. The Sleepbuds maintain a direct connection with the Smart Case, so keeping them close together is important for reliable performance.
  2. If you are primarily listening to streamed audio from apps such as Spotify, YouTube, or similar services, try using a different audio app to see if the issue continues. You can also test with the built-in masking sounds in the Ozlo Sleepbuds app to help determine if the issue is related to a specific streaming source.
  3. Reboot the Smart Case by pressing and holding the case button for 10 seconds. The status light will blink blue several times and then turn white, indicating that the reboot is complete.

  4. Make sure your phone is not touching the Smart Case or positioned directly beside it. Leave a few inches of space between the phone and the case, and avoid placing the phone between the case and your Sleepbuds. In some situations, the phone's wireless signals can interfere with the Bluetooth Low Energy connection.
    1. For the best connection, position the Smart Case so that the left side of the case faces toward your Sleepbuds. The Bluetooth antenna is located on that side, and reducing obstructions can help improve connection stability.
  5. Check for available firmware updates in the Ozlo Sleepbuds app and install any updates that are available. Firmware updates often include improvements to Bluetooth performance and overall reliability.
